Another Pinata…

This year my niece is having a Dora themed birthday party. We thought it was a little crush last year, so we bought the DVD’s, backpack etc..little did we know that it would turn into a full fledged love affair!
A few funny things going on at the moment:
1. My niece’s mum’s best friend’s name is: Diego. (I’m not even kidding!)
2. While Mia watches the first 10-15min of the Dora DVD when she’s at our place, Greg watches the second half by himself and..
3. Every fox-like animal is called Swiper.
So, as you know last year I made a pinata for her birthday! While I’m no Jordan Ferney, I sure did have a crack at it!
Between then and now Mia has grown into quite the young lady. 3 going on 46 we say…
Everything is a “need”, including the pinata she requested for her birthday. (She saw a photo on my mum’s phone from her 2nd birthday and proceeded to point at the pinata and say: I need, I need, I need!)
I found a few cute pinata’s to make in lieu of Dora, as I don’t understand how bashing in a make-believe characters body is acceptable?!
…but I have a feeling that “Backpack” may end up getting slain by a bat…
Do cute! I saw an idea like this on Pinterest that tells you how to make your own pinatas. Ive decided Im going to do this for my little girl’s future birthday parties. BTW yours turned out AWESOME! (:
